Isolde

Meg Warren wanted these socks to reflect Isolde’s role both at home in Ireland and at her new home in Cornwall when she marries King Mark so she created a pattern that is refined and reflective of her role as a Queen.

Materials
The March Hare sock yarn [fiber content75% superwash wool and 25% nylon; 455yd/ per 100g skein 18 WPI]; color: Isolde; 1 skein for calf length and 2 skeins for knee length
1 set US 2/2.75mm double-point needles
1set US 1/2.25mm double pointed needles

Gauge
36 sts/50 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
